Import Bounces
Import copies bounces from any other loaded session into the one open in Pro Tools: last album's stem setup into a new song, say. The source session is never changed.
How to import
- Load both sessions (see Sessions) and open the one that should receive the bounces in Pro Tools.
- Right-click the source session in the sidebar and choose Import Bounces.
- Pick the bounces to bring over.
The check
Every imported bounce is checked against the open session the way presets are:
| Issue | What Fast Bounce offers |
|---|---|
| Track missing | The closest-named track, or skip that track. |
| Bus missing | Pick another mix source. |
| Markers differ | The range markers matched to the closest names. |
| Name exists | Keep both, Replace or Skip. |
When "Everything matches", you just import. See Presets for what each answer does.
Last album's stems setup is the best starting point for this one. Import it, fix what the check flags, and save the result as presets so the next song doesn't need the import at all.
